Welcome to Athennian, we’re excited you’re here! Getting to know a new piece of technology can be intimidating and frustrating. That's why we're constantly working hard to ensure that as many help docs and training materials are available as possible.
If along the way you have any questions you come across that you can’t find the answer to in the Athennian Help Centre, please message us using the Athennian Chatbox which is located in the bottom righthand corner of your screen.
To get started, make sure you're using the Google Chrome web browser as this is the browser which best supports the Athennian application.
Entity Manager vs. Document Manager
Athennian has two applications: Entity Manager and Document Manager. Entity Manager is designed for managing volumes, while the Document Manager is designed for more general document management needs such as contracts or sharing folders to external parties. You can switch between the two views in the top right of the app. If you are using Athennian primarily to manage legal entities, we suggest you default to the Entity Manager application.
The navigation menu for Entity Manager is on the left side of the screen where you can navigate Tasks, Entities, People, Reports and Admin (if you're an admin).
The Dashboard is the first thing you will see when you open up the Entity Manager application. On the Dashboard, you will find the following:
Entities: A list of the most recent entities you've worked in;
Documents: A list of the most recent documents you've worked in;
Tasks: A list the overdue or upcoming tasks for any and all of the entities across the database;
Help Center: A hyperlink to our Athennian Help Center; and
Feedback Center: A hyperlink to the Athennian Feedback Center.
In the Tasks section, you will find the list of tasks for all of the entities across the database. Navigate through this tab to modify, create, or delete any task in the database. For more information on how the tasks work, consult this section of the Athennian Help Center.
The Entities section is where you will find a list of all of the entities across the database. Navigate through the entities by simply clicking into any one of the records, and add new entities to this list with the help of our step-by-step help articles found here.
The People section is where you will find a list of all of the people records for the entire database. Navigate through the people by simply clicking into any one of the records, and add new people to the list with the help of our step-by-step help articles found in the Person Records section of this collection of the Athennian Help Center.
The Reports section allows you to navigate through any report created for the any of the entities across the database. To learn how to create/navigate through the reports, please consult this section of the Athennian Help Center.
This section will only be available for users who are whitelabel admins. In this section you can navigate through, download and modify the configurations of all of the templates in the application.
