Custom prompts allow you to create custom questions upon the merging of a document and insert the answer into the document being generated.

Begin using a Custom Prompt by coding a custom variable into your template. Ensure to not have any spaces with your custom variable.

After you have uploaded your coded document into Athennian, select the Custom Prompt button on the edit template settings. Insert your custom variable and the custom prompt into the Details tab.

There are three types of a Custom Prompt.

1. Text Fill - allows a multiple choice question;
          2. True / False - allows two options for the custom prompt, True or False; and
          3. User Fill - allows the user to fill in text upon document generation.

Fill in the Choices tab with the answer options for the prompt, and the corresponding fill text if that answer is selected.
