Issuance and Redemption of Shares

  1. Navigate to the Entities tab in the left-hand column and select an entity;
  2. Navigate to the Securities > Shares tab;
  3. Move to the top of the screen and select a share class from the drop-down menu;
  4. Select the +New button under the Transactions tab;
  5. Issue 100 shares of the share class to yourself as a shareholder:
    - +New
    - Issuance
    - Set out details
    - Add shareholder
    - Review stock certificate issuance
    - Review share issuance
    - Select Draft - Success! - exit screen
  6. Open the share issuance transaction and select Confirm in the bottom right corner;
  7. Redeem 50 shares of the share class:
    - +New
    - Redeem
    - Set out Redemption Details and select Shareholder redeeming shares
    - Click the Certificate box and fill in the number of shares being redeemed
    - Select Next
    - Review Redemption Details and select Redeem at the bottom right corner;
  8. Open redemption transaction and select Confirm in the bottom right corner;
  9. Open balance (redeemed) transaction and select Confirm in the bottom right corner.

Transfer of Shares

  1. Navigate to the Entities tab in the left-hand column and select an entity;
  2. Navigate to the Securities > Shares tab;
  3. Select the +New button under the Transactions tab in the Securities screen;
  4. Select Transfer from the New transaction screen;
  5. On the Transfer Details screen, you can add a transaction date if not today’s date, select the number of shares being transferred and price per share if known;
  6. Select shareholder transferring shares in the From the section
    - Ensure you click on the box that reflects the outstanding stock certificate number and enter in the number of shares being transferred on the line beside it;
  7. Check off Leave balance on certificate to leave the remaining balance of the shares on the original certificate;
  8. Select Create new shareholding in the To section, select another person that is set out in the person records as the new shareholder;
  9. Move to Certificate Issuance in the transfer screen and you will see that the next share certificate number has been issued to the new shareholder;
  10. Move to Review in the transfer screen and if satisfied with the information set out, select Transfer at the bottom right;
  11. You will receive a message saying Success. Move out of that screen so that you return to the share transfer set out in the Securities > Shares section;
  12. Open the transfer that was just done and once opened select Confirm at the bottom right to change the status of the transfer from Pending to Confirmed;
  13. Navigate to the certificate section and click into the original stock certificate from which the shares were transferred. Click into the Issue tab and click Issue.

Generate Share Ledger

  1. Navigate to the Securities tab;
  2. At the top right of this screen click on Registers/Ledgers;
  3. Select Current Share Class;
  4. Select Share Ledger;
  5. Click on the Merge tab at the bottom right of this screen;
  6. A new screen will appear that says Documents successfully generated and an option to View documents now, click on View documents now;
  7. This will take you to the Documents tab;
  8. Open and review your share ledger.

Generate Stock Certificate

  1. Navigate to Tasks;
  2. Select the +New button at the top left of the Tasks screen;
  3. Type in "Stock Certificate" in the Memo description field;
  4. In the 1. Details section - select the Type of task in the drop-down field - select Share transactions;
  5. Move to 2. Share transactions section, select today as the transaction date, select the +Transactions tab in the middle of this screen. Move to the Certificates section of this screen and select the stock certificate issued in steps 3 and click on the Add button at the bottom right of the screen. Select the Create button at the bottom right of this screen;
  6. Move to 3. Supporting Documents and select the +Supporting documents button at the top of the screen. Select a Stock Certificate and click the Add button at the bottom right;
  7. Select Generate documents on the screen;
  8. A new screen will appear that says Documents successfully generated and an option to View documents now, click on View documents now;
  9. This will take you to the Documents tab;
  10. Open and review your Stock Certificate.
