Athennian has released a new functionality in the Reports section called Custom Reports that allows you to build and generate custom reports to capture the data that you choose and to export the reports to Excel! What this also means is that you can now filter through entities using multiple filters and choose the columns that you would like to appear in the custom reports that you create.

Here is a step by step on how to use the custom reporting tool:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section of your database;
  2. Click on the Custom Reports tile;
  3. In the Report Name field, name the report you are about to create;
  4. Notice at the top of the report it says Entities, Registrations and Addresses and Agents - select one of these point of views for your custom report;
  5. Where it says Entity Name, click the field to open up the dropdown list - this is where you will find a list of all of the filters to sort by to narrow your search;
  6. Select a filter from the dropdown list;
  7. Where it says Contains, click the field to open up the dropdown list and select your searching preference;
  8. In the field to the right of Contains, click into it to open up the dropdown list - this is where you will find a list of the subfilters pursuant to the first filter you choose;
  9. Select a filter from the dropdown list;
  10. Select + OR or + AND to add another filter/subfilter;
  11. Once you will have selected your filtering preferences, select the Run Report button - you will notice a table with a list of entities in the Results section;
  12. Click Edit Columns to add your desired columns to the table;
  13. Once you click Edit Columns, a new window will pop up prompting you the check off the various column titles you would like to add to your results - navigate through the tabs and check off the desired boxes, and then select Apply Changes;
  14. You will notice all of the additional columns in the Results table;
  15. To export the report, click on Export to CSV - this will download a copy of the report onto your computer;
  16. To save the report, click Save at the top of the page next to the name of your report - the report will be saved and listed in the left panel of the Custom Reports section for future use.
