Learn how to create an entity from scratch or using a template.
There are three ways to create a new entity record in Athennian: (1) create from scratch, (2) create from an entity template, (3) or duplicate an existing entity record. This article will cover creating a new entity record from scratch.
Creating an Entity Record
Follow these basics steps to learn how to create an entity record:

Navigate to the Entities tab down the lefthand side of the screen;

Select + New at the top left of the list of entities - a dropdown menu will appear prompting users to make a selection between creating an Entity, and Entity from Template or an Entity from Import;

Select Entity from the dropdown menu - a new window will pop up;

Enter the initial information required to get started in creating the new entity record - Note: the only required fields are those with the asterisks. However, the more information entered into the database, the users get out of it;

Once this entity record has been created, head back into the entity record and add additional information;

In the Details tab, enter the Name of the entity as well as any Secondary Equivalent Name;

Enter the Jurisdiction of the entity, select an entity type from the Type field dropdown list, and add any other additional information if known - if the other information is unknown, leave the fields blank and wait until the entity is formed before going back into the profile and update the fields;

Navigate to the Addresses tab and enter the address of the entity if that information is know;

When it comes to adding an Address, users have the option to either enter the address manually or import an address already stored in another entity using the Import button at the top of the window;

Enter the Address Name, and fill in the other required fields - to learn more about how to new enter address information for an entity, consult Adding an Address to an Entity Record help article;

Once the information has been entered, turn to the status of the new entity record in the top right corner of the window -notice that it is automatically set to Confirmed;

Select the status to open up the dropdown list to view the other entity statuses - to learn more about the different statuses and what they all mean, consult the Entity Statuses help article;

Select Create to create the entity.
Please note that any dates entered in manually will have to be formatted as follows:
YYYY-MM-DD
Once the entity is created, it will be in the list of entities in the Entities tab. Select the entity record to access the profile of the entity.
