The Registration Compliance Task is designed to enable you to keep track of an entity's registration requirements when it comes to extra-provincial registrations, foreign qualifications, business name renewals, UCC filings, and various others.
To create a Registration Compliance Task, follow the steps enumerated below:
- Navigate to the profile of the entity you would like to create a Registration Compliance Task for
- Navigate to the Tasks section of that entity and click + New to create a new task
1. Details tab
- In the Memo description, title the task
- In the task Type field, select Registration Compliance from the dropdown list
- In the Registration field, select the Registration from the dropdown list (required)
- Set a Due Date (mandatory), select the Assignee, set a Priority and add any Details or Tags if applicable
- Click Create to save the task
- To set a reminder, click the Set Reminder button on the right side of the Due Date and follow the steps in the dedicated Set a Task Reminder article
2. Registration Compliance tab
- Enter the Effective Date, Resolution Date and Reference Date and any other necessary information
- In the Participants tab, select Incoming and Outgoing participants by clicking + Add
- In the Addresses tab, select Incoming and Outgoing addresses by clicking + Add
3. Selected Templates tab
- Select + Selected templates
- Check off the templates you would like to use to generate your supporting documents, and then click Add
- Click Generate. A blue notification will appear indicating that the documents are being generated and you'll be notified when completed
- Once the documents are generated, a green notification will appear indicating they're successfully generated. You can navigate to the next tab to view the generated documents
4. Generated Templates tab
- Click on the generated documents to review them
- Select Download as Zip if you wish to download them to your desktop
- Select Send to Docusign if you wish to send them for e-signature
5. Additional Documents tab
- Select Upload if you wish to upload documents from your device and click Submit
- Select Send to Docusign if you wish to send them for e-signature
Complete the Task
- Once the documents are completed, click the task's status in the top right corner and select Completed from the dropdown list. You will be prompted to confirm Compliance.
- If applicable, check the boxes available (Update registration bring forward date, Update registration last filed date, Create next registration compliance task)
- Then, click Confirm to proceed with the registration compliance changes. If checked, a blue notification will appear, indicating that the bring forward date, last filed date have been updated as of the date selected, and the next registration compliance task has been created automatically.
- Finally, Save your changes and Close the task
