Create an annual compliance task and generate supporting documents
The Annual Compliance Task is designed to enable users to keep track of an entity's home jurisdiction filing requirements and annual maintenance obligations.
Creating an Annual Compliance Task from the Tasks Section
To create an Annual Compliance Task, follow the steps enumerated below:

Navigate to the entity profile, select the Tasks section, and then select + New;

In the task Type field, select Annual Compliance from the dropdown list and add a Memo Description for the new task - Note: once this task type is selected, a 2. Annual Compliance tab will appear;

Navigate to the 2. Annual Compliance tab to add the relevant dates;

Depending on whether an annual resolution or an annual report (or both) is being prepared, add the relevant dates in the Resolution Date, Annual Report Date as well as the Effective Date and the Fiscal Year to Report fields;

Select Show More and fill in the remaining fields as required;

Efile will be available to users (if enabled) in the 2. Annual Compliance tab if preparing an annual report for either a British Columbia or an Ontario entity;

Navigate to the 3. Supporting Documents tab and select + Supporting Documents to generate the applicable documents;

Select the appropriate templates and then click Add to include them as the supporting documents for the Annual Compliance Task;

Select Create in the bottom right-hand corner of the window to create the task, and then select Generate documents;

Select View Documents Now to be redirected to the Documents section to edit, review and send the documents out for signature and/or filing;

Once all documents are signed and filed in the system, set the task to Completed by selecting the status tab in the top right of the task card - Once Completed is selected, users will be prompted to confirm the information and update various fields in the database;

Check off the box for Update home report last filed date to update the relevant field in Athennian;

Check off the box for Create next annual compliance task to set a new task for the next annual compliance due date;

Finally, select Confirm in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to finish the workflow.

Creating an Annual Compliance Reminder and Task from the Compliance Section
Create the Reminder

Navigate to the entity profile;

Navigate to the Filing Dates section of the General > Compliance tab;

Ensure that the appropriate dates are entered into the Home Report Bring Forward and Resolution Bring Forward fields;

Select Create Compliance Reminder just below the bring forward fields;

The Notifications panel will open up with all notifications including the one just created which will be at the top of the list;

Hover over the top right-hand corner of the reminder until the pencil icon becomes visible- select the pencil icon to modify the reminder and a new window will pop up;

At the top of the window, select whether if to be reminded in the application, by email, or both;

In the date field, enter the starting date to start receiving the reminder;

in the frequency field, select the reminder frequency(yearly, monthly, weekly, etc.);

In the Message field, enter the message to be received in the reminder -

In the Priority field, set the priority of the reminder;

In the Recipients field, select the users who would like to receive the reminder;

Select Set to save the reminder preferences.
Create the Task
