Bulk Edit Fields using Reports (Administrators Only)

Streamline and enhance your legal entity management by leveraging Athennian’s bulk edit functionality. This feature allows for the quick and efficient updating of multiple fields across numerous entities at once, directly from the Reports section.

Overview

The Bulk Edit feature is available in Reports for administrators. This functionality supports bulk updates for approximately 20–25 fields, including Company Groups, Compliance Notes, Fiscal Year End, and custom fields. Changes made through Bulk Edit are permanent and are recorded in the audit trail for transparency.

Availability: Customers on the Professional and Enterprise plans.

Important: This feature is only available to Administrators.


Run a Report

  1. From the left main menu, navigate and select the Reports tab
  2. Go to the Entities tab
  3. Create a new report or open an existing report
  4. Select the desired filters to obtain a defined list
  5. Click on Run Report
  6. Once the report is generated, a list of Entities will appear

Bulk Edit Fields

  1. Select the desired Entities from the list by clicking the checkboxes on the left
  2. Click the Bulk Edit (#) button on the top right
  3. A Bulk Edit modal will appear with a list of available fields
  4. Select a field to update from the dropdown Field menu and enter the new value (for example: Company Group)
  5. From the 2nd dropdown field, select the value to update 

  6. Enter the new value in the input field provided (for example: Groups)

  7. Click Next

Note: Only 20–25 fields are available for bulk editing


Confirm and Save Updates

  1. Next to proceed is the confirmation modal to review the warning message that states all updates are permanent

  2. Type Update in the confirmation field to enable the Save button

  3. Click Save to apply the changes

  4. A green notification will confirm that the updates have been successfully applied

Important: The fields available for bulk editing are limited to a specific set, including manual text and number inputs. The updates are permanent and cannot be reversed.


Audit Trail

Bulk updates are logged in the audit trails of each entity. Administrators can review the history of changes made to Entities, including the fields updated and their new values. You can view this in the General tab and then select Audit Trail.
