Tasks are used to generate workflows, from incorporating an Entity to its dissolution or liquidation!
Tasks can complete any workflow for which Athennian can store information. This article describes how to set up a task and explains the functionalities of each tab within a Task.
Task Tabs Overview
There are seven tabs in a task:
- Details
- Priority, Issuer and Assignee* (on the right-hand side of the screen)

Reminder (on the right-hand side of the screen)
- Dates
- Templates
- Generated Templates
- Additional Documents
Below is an explanation of each tab’s functionality, regardless of the selected task type:
1. Details
In the Details tab:
- Enter the title of the Task in the Name* field
- Select the Task Type* from the drop-down option
- Select the Due Date*
- If creating a Task from the main Tasks section, click Select Profile to select the entity Profile the task pertains to
- Add any additional Details if necessary
- Add any Tags if necessary
- Click + Add Checklist item to create a to-do list of outstanding tasks if necessary
2. Priority, Issuer and Assignee
- Set the Priority appropriate for the task
- Choose the Issuer (auto-assigned to the user who created the task but can be changed manually)
- Choose the Assignee* (auto-assigned to the user who created the task but can be changed manually)
3. Reminder
- Click Add to set a reminder
- Refer to Set a Task Reminder
4. Dates
The Dates tab contains fields that vary based on the chosen task type. Here, enter critical information such as:
- Resolution Date
- Effective Date
- Notes
- Specify if the task will be Future-dated
5. Templates
In the Templates tab:
- Select the necessary supporting documents by clicking the + Add button. A list of document templates related to the selected Task type will appear
- Note: The list of supporting documents varies depending on the Task type
Important: Always click Create before proceeding to the Generated Templates tab to ensure the Task is saved.
6. Generated Templates
The Generated Templates tab lets you view the documents generated in the previous step, and download and send them for signatures.
7. Additional Documents
The Additional Documents tab lets you upload any documents saved externally and send them for signatures.
Completion of a Task
To complete a task:
Navigate to the task, click the Status field in the top right corner, and select Completed from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, choose:
- Pending if additional data needs review
- Archived if the task is for informational purposes only
Depending on the task type, Athennian may prompt users to update specific fields, create new tasks, or confirm existing information. Make the necessary selections, confirm, and close the task.
