Companies House: PSC02 - Notice of Relevant Legal Entity with Significant Control (RLE)

Steps to Notify of a Relevant Legal Entity with Significant Control (RLE) through Athennian and file with Companies House:

Verify the Companies House ID and Value in the Settings section
- Navigate to your profile > Settings > Account > Profile
  - Make sure to fill in the Companies House PresenterID and Companies House Authentication Value (the value provided when you signed up for a Companies House account)
Complete Entity Details and Compliance information:
- Navigate to General > Details
  - Ensure the company is registered in the UK. Select Jurisdiction: Country as the United Kingdom
  - Add the UK region under Jurisdiction: Region (if applicable)
- Navigate to General > Compliance
  - Input the correct Entity Registration Number
  - Input the 8-digit Company Registry ID
  - Input the Company Authentication Code
  - Ensure that any other key information is added (if applicable)
Set up the Affiliation:
- Make sure you have an Affiliation (Other Professional for example) selected as an Entity
- Ensure the affiliation has an Address selected
- For a Beneficial Owner affiliation to be created automatically, they must own securities as recorded in Securities > Ownership.
Complete the Entity Profile:
- Navigate to the Entity to open up the Entity profile
- Open the General > Details tab
  - Make sure to select the Governing Act
- Open the General > Addresses tab
  - Confirm that there is an Address on file (Business for example) or add one by clicking on + New
Go back to the main Entity and create a "Change of Other Professionals" Task:
- Navigate back to the entity and go to Tasks and click + New
- 1. Details tab
  - Select Change of Other Professionals as the Task Type
  - Fill in the Title in the Memo description text field
  - Add the Due Date
  - Click Save
- 2. Change of Other Professionals tab
  - Under Incoming - click + Add to select the incoming entity and click Confirm
  - Input the Effective Date and Resolution Date
  - Mark the task as Pending using the Status dropdown
  - Click Save to save the task
File with Companies House:
- Open the 2. Change of Other Professionals tab of the pending task
- Select either "File for Notice of significant control" or "File for Notice of change of significant control" as applicable
- Select all the applicable information by checking the necessary boxes for the following sections:
  - Nature of control for the RLE
    - Section 5: Nature of control for a registrable relevant legal entity (RLE)
    - Section 6: Nature of control by a firm over which the RLE has significant control
    - Section 7: Nature of control by a trust over which the RLE has significant control
- Click the PSC02 - Notification of relevant legal entity with significant control (PLE) blue button to file with Companies House
- Review the filing overview and ensure all information is correct
- Click File
- Once filed, a green message will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen confirming "Filing successful - PSC02 filed with Companies House"
Check Filing Status:
- Click on the profile icon at the top right corner of the screen and select Settings
- Under Efile - click on the Orders section to view the e-file order status
- The Status will update live as Companies House processes the filing
