Learn how to set the preferred language for email notifications in Athennian.
Overview
Athennian allows for the customization of email language preferences, ensuring users receive communications in either English or French. This setting can be configured by an administrator on behalf of a user or by the individual user through their own profile settings.
Important:
- During the initial launch, only the Welcome email templates will display in French when the setting is applied. We'll soon make the settings apply to every email sent.
- Currently, only English and French are available, matching the app's available language versions.
Availability: All customers.
Admin Level
Set a New User's Email Language as an Admin
- Navigate to Access in the main navigation menu
- In the Users and User Groups tab, click + New at the top right corner
- In the New User modal, locate the Email Language dropdown menu
- Choose either English or Français from the options
- Select all the other details as needed (such as assigning them to any Access Groups and/or User Groups)
- Click Create to add the new user
Set an Existing User's Email Language as an Admin
- Navigate to Access in the main navigation menu
- In the Users and User Groups tab, search and select the desired user from the list
- Click on the Edit button at the top right corner
- In the Edit User modal, locate the Email Language dropdown menu
- Choose either English or Français from the options
- Click Save to apply the changes
User Level
Set Personal Email Language Preferences
- Click on the profile icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu
- In the Preferences section, locate the Email Language dropdown menu
- Choose the preferred language for email communications to either English or Français
- A green confirmation message "Changes saved" will display on the bottom left side of your screen
