Enhance the accuracy of reporting and gain historical insights by filtering records based on specific status changes and date ranges.

Overview

This feature allows users to return a list of Entities or People based on specific status preferences within a defined timeframe. By utilizing these filters, teams can perform month-to-month comparisons and maintain a clear understanding of how the corporate structure has evolved over time (e.g., identifying all records marked as Dissolved in a previous month).

Availability: All customers.


Filter Entities by Status and Date

  1. Navigate to the Reports section

  2. Select Create Report and choose an Entity report type

  3. Enter a name for the report in the Report Name field

  4. Select Add Filter within the Entity Filter Criteria section

  5. Choose Entity Details: File Status (for the top-level management status) or Entity Details: Status (for the detailed legal status) from the dropdown menu

  6. Set the operator to Is

  7. Select the desired status value, such as Active, Dissolved, or Amalgamated

  8. Choose the date parameter: As of Today, As of Specific Date, or Within a Date Range

  9. Use the date or month picker to define the specific timeframe, such as the start and end of a calendar month

  10. Click Apply Filter to generate the list of results matching those specific criteria


Filter People Records by Status

  1. Open a People report within the Reports tool

  2. Select Add Filter to configure the criteria

  3. Choose Person Details: Status to filter by the top-level individual status, or select the specific detail field to filter by sub-statuses like Deceased or Inactive

  4. Define the date range or specific point in time to capture the status of the People records historically

  5. Click Apply Filter to refresh the results


Save and Schedule Status Reports

  1. Review the generated list to ensure the Entities or People match the intended date range

  2. Select Save Report to keep these configurations for future use

  3. Navigate to the Schedule tab within the saved report settings

  4. Configure a recurring schedule to have these monthly views of Active or Dissolved records emailed automatically to the team
