Frequently Asked Questions: AI Document Summarization
-
What file types are supported for AI Summarization?
The AI Summarize tool currently supports PDF and Word (DOCX) files. Ensure files are not password-protected or encrypted, as this will prevent the AI from reading the content.
-
Why is the Summarize button missing for some documents?
The Summarize functionality is only visible if the AI toggle is enabled in the Access section for the specific user. Additionally, ensure the document is located within the Documents or the Minute Book sections.
-
Does the AI summary update automatically if I upload a new version of a document?
No. If a document is updated or replaced, the Summary Generated On timestamp will reflect the old version. Click the Regenerate button within the document viewer to refresh the analysis.
-
Is there a limit to the length of the document the AI can summarize?
While the AI is designed to handle long documents like LPAs and multi-page agreements, extremely large files may take longer to process. For the best results, ensure the document has undergone OCR processing if it was originally a scanned image.
