We’re excited to share the latest updates to the Athennian platform, designed to enhance your workflows and streamline your experience. Here’s what's new:

What’s New

Find Records Faster with Custom Field Search

Searching for entities and people just got more intuitive. Admins can now designate a key custom field—such as your internal Entity Code—to be fully searchable across Athennian's Global Search and entity selection menus. This empowers your team to locate records using the internal identifiers you use every day, instead of relying solely on the legal entity name.

Availability: Customers with the Configurability add-on (Starter and up).

Automate Task Creation via the Write API

Keep your workflows moving seamlessly across your entire tech stack. With our new Write API enhancement, your external systems can now automatically trigger and create tasks directly within Athennian. This eliminates manual data entry and duplicate work, allowing your team to centralize governance tasks without leaving their connected workflows.

Availability: Customers with the All Access API add-on.

Tailor Custom User Access by Hiding Action Buttons

Gain finer control over user permissions by hiding specific action buttons for custom roles. Admins can now restrict actions like export, create, generate, and edit across individual entity folders, pages, and sections. This allows you to tailor platform access for specific teams, ensuring users only interact with the tools relevant to their responsibilities.

Availability: Customers on the Enterprise plan or with the Custom Access add-on.

Work Side-by-Side with Movable Document Previews

Speed up your data validation workflows with our new movable document preview. You can now freely reposition the document modal to view your source documents side-by-side with editable fields in Athennian. This makes it easier to reference source documents while updating records.

Availability: All customers.

Organize Data Better with Tax-Specific Custom Fields

You can now add custom fields directly into the Tax Details section of an entity profile, under General > Details. This allows your teams to capture, display, and manage tax-specific data exactly where it belongs, rather than cluttering broader entity sections. Ultimately, this helps tax users locate the critical information they need faster and keeps your entity records perfectly organized.

Availability: Customers with the Configurability add-on (Starter and up).

Track Chart Saved View Changes with New Audit Trail Events

Gain complete visibility into your structure charts with new tracking capabilities in the Entity and Global Audit Trails. You can now easily track when chart views and custom legends are created, modified, deleted, or exported, including exact timestamps and user details. This added transparency ensures better oversight and accountability, helping you quickly determine who updated your critical ownership views and when.

Availability: Customers on the Enterprise plan.

Keep Records Connected with Governance History Document Linking

You can now link Minute Book documents directly to specific events within the Governance > History section, using the “Link Document” action. A new “Documents” column allows you to seamlessly preview related files for any custom or system change. This ensures your supporting documentation is always organized and just a click away when reviewing historical records.

Availability: All customers.

Document Automation Enhancements

Standard Summary Templates Now Reflect Custom Entity Status

We've updated the standard Summary templates to incorporate the new Custom Entity Status field, ensuring the generated Corporate Summary and Entity Summary documents always display the most accurate, up-to-date entity data.

As part of this update, terminology in Corporate Summary templates has been updated from "File Status" to "Entity Status" for improved clarity and consistency.

Availability: Customers on the Professional and Enterprise plans (Standard Templates).
