Learn how to import a Class if a Class has already been set up within the platform and the details need duplication.

Overview

The Import Class feature allows users to quickly duplicate the details of an existing Class from one Entity to another. This streamlines data entry and ensures consistency across Entity records.

Import a Class

  1. From an Entity record, navigate to the Securities tab and select Classes available on the left side

    • Note: If working in a brand new Entity or if no Classes have been created yet, the Classes tab will be empty with "No records to display." To create one, follow the steps in the Create a New Class article

  2. On the top right corner of the screen, click + New then Import from Entity from the dropdown option

  3. In the Select Entity modal, search and select the applicable Entity from which to import the previously created Class

  4. In the next screen, Create Class from Import, choose one or more Classes to import from by checking the boxes available on the left-hand side

  5. Click Select at the bottom right corner of the box

The Class has now been successfully imported. Confirm this by heading to the Securities tab and selecting Classes available on the left.
