Import and Export Documents Using iManage

Enhance workflow efficiency by seamlessly transferring files between Athennian and iManage without ever leaving the platform.

Overview

The iManage integration enables direct upload and download of Documents between Athennian and iManage, keeping file management centralized and organized.

Availability: Customers with the Document Automation bundle add-on.


Export Documents to iManage

  1. Navigate to the target Entity

  2. Click the Documents tab

  3. Select the checkbox beside the Document(s) to export

  4. Click [Number] selected at the top of the Documents list

  5. Select Export to iManage to open the iManage modal

  6. Enter iManage credentials and click Sign In if prompted

  7. Choose the destination Folder or Matters section in the iManage modal

  8. Click New Folder in the Root Folder to create sub-folders if necessary

  9. Click Select at the bottom of the screen to complete the export

A green pop-up message "Exporting to iManage was successful" will appear, confirming the export.


Import Documents from iManage

  1. Navigate to the target Entity

  2. Click the Documents tab

  3. Select the + New button at the top right of the screen

  4. Choose From iManage from the dropdown list to open the iManage modal

  5. Enter iManage credentials and click Sign In if prompted

  6. Locate the desired Folder or Matters section in the iManage modal

  7. Select the checkbox beside the specific Documents to import

  8. Click Select at the bottom right to complete the import

The selected documents will appear in the Documents list after successful import.
