Accelerate reporting and third-party requests by managing all saved Structure Charts from a single, centralized location.

Overview

The Charts dashboard provides a unified interface to view, search, and manage saved ownership and structure charts across multiple Entities. Displayed in a card format, this dashboard allows teams to access approved chart views instantly without navigating into individual Entity records.

This is ideal for quickly fulfilling KYC requests, submitting structured reports to the IRS, or managing complex Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). Visibility natively honours existing access restrictions and ethical walls, ensuring sensitive ownership data remains secure while providing necessary operational context to paralegals, tax lawyers, and administrators alike.

Availability: Customers on the Enterprise plan.

Access the Charts Dashboard

  • Select the Charts icon from the top-level navigation menu

  • View all available saved charts displayed as individual cards to quickly locate standardized corporate structures

  • Identify the Home Entity associated with each chart view directly on the card

  • Observe the Last Edited date and the name of the contributor on each card to track version history across different users

Search and Filter Charts

  • Locate the Search bar at the top of the Chart Dashboard

  • Type the name of a specific Entity (e.g., "Global Records Inc.") or the title of a saved view to dynamically filter the gallery

  • Use the search results to instantly isolate charts related to specific regions, transactions, or corporate structures

Create a New Chart View

  • Click + New in the top right corner of the Chart Dashboard

  • Enter a descriptive name for the view in the Name field (e.g., "APAC Region Tax Structure")

  • Select the starting point for the chart using the Starting From dropdown, choosing between Shareholder/Person or Entity

  • Search for and select the specific Entity or Person to serve as the root of the structure

  • Choose the visibility setting by selecting Private or Team

  • Save the chart as Private initially to safely draft complex structures without exposing incomplete work to the rest of the team

  • Click Create to launch the chart builder

Manage Existing Chart Cards

  • Hover over a specific chart card to reveal the Actions menu

  • Select Rename to update the title of the chart view

  • Select Duplicate to create a copy of a formatted chart, which is highly useful for adapting an internal working structure into a clean, presentation-ready version for banking submissions

  • Select Delete to remove a chart view from the dashboard

  • Click directly on a card to open the Entity record defaulted to that specific saved view, which immediately loads all saved Formatting, Filters, Company Groups, and Legends

Understand Permissions

Review Admin Access

  • Sign in with admin-level permissions to access all Entities across the database

  • View and open all team-based saved chart cards within the Chart Dashboard to audit and oversee structures created by various users

  • Monitor chart modifications and collaborative work by checking the last edited details on each card

Understand Restricted User Access

  • Confirm that users with restricted permissions only see chart cards if granted access to the Home Entity

  • Note that if access to the Home Entity is completely removed, the chart card entirely disappears from the Chart Dashboard to prevent exposing restricted Entity names in visual previews or legends

  • Save charts as a Private view to keep them entirely hidden from all other team members, regardless of system permission levels

Identify Locked Views

  • Locate chart cards on the Chart Dashboard displaying a Locked status

  • Recognize that a Locked status occurs when access is granted to the Home Entity but restricted for other newly acquired subsidiary or parent Entities within that specific saved structure

  • Use the visible but Locked card to gain context about ongoing activities, such as a pending merger or an active KYC request, without exposing the highly restricted Entity names or data

  • Note that attempting to open or click a Locked view prevents access and restricts entry to the underlying chart
