Show Signatories on the Overview page of an entity to quickly identify individuals with signing authority.
Overview
The Overview tab of an entity includes an enhanced Signatories section, providing quick and easy access to crucial information for various teams across legal, finance, tax, and treasury. This helps quickly identify individuals with signing authority for transactions, including specific amounts and contexts.
Availability: Customer on the Professional and Enterprise plans.
Access Signatories on the Overview
To display Signatories on the Overview tab:
- From an entity's profile, navigate to the Overview tab
- Click the Edit Display button
- In the Edit Display modal, ensure the List Signatories checkbox is selected
- You can also choose to display or hide Directors and Officers separately
- Click Apply
Understand Signatory Information
Once enabled, the Signatories section on the Overview tab will display the following information for each signatory:
- Name: The name of the signatory
- Role: A summary of their signing capacity
- Appointed Date: The date they were appointed as a signatory
- Status: Confirmation of their current status
- Notes: Any additional notes providing more context about their signing authority, such as specific transaction types, value ranges, or specific roles
Add and Edit Signatory Details
Signatory details are managed within the entity's Principals section. You can add as many signatories as needed.
To add or edit signatory information:
- Go to the Principals tab of the entity and click on + New
- Select the relevant Principal
- Within the Principal profile, navigate to the Roles section and click + Add Role
- Set the Role to Signatory
- Choose a Title from the dropdown menu:
- Contracts
- Banking
- General
- You can also add a Custom Title
- Add any additional Notes to provide more specific information about the signatory's authority. These notes will be surfaced in the Signatories section on the Overview tab.
