This month’s updates improve usability in structure charts and expand integration capabilities across the Athennian platform. New API endpoints bring greater connectivity to Debt, Access and Task data, while chart enhancements make it easier to deliver clear, presentation-ready ownership views. We’ve also upgraded the alert engine for more seamless task management and reminders.

Alert Engine Update
We’ve upgraded Athennian’s alert engine for improved reliability, flexibility and on-time delivery. You’ll notice a refreshed reminder design, more precise delivery windows, and new scheduling options:
- Weekly: Choose specific days (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri)
- Monthly: Option to send on the last day of the month
- Frequency clarity: “Daily” and “weekly” alerts now display as “custom repeat: 1 day” or “custom repeat: 7 days”
Reminders and notifications run seamlessly, ensuring teams stay organized and on track with filing, reporting and approval deadlines.

Audit Trails: New look in Entity and People
We’ve updated the display of People and Entity Audit Trails to align with the Global Audit Trail's column headers and filtering format. This ensures consistency across all audit trails within the system, including both individual trails and the Global Audit Trail, for a unified look and overview.

Structure Charts Enhancements
Reminder: we’ve now retired the old chart interface. Take advantage of our new Dynamic Structure Charts and the value they provide teams with robust customization and editing capabilities.

API Updates
Read and Write API: Debt
The Debt API provides both read and write access within Athennian’s Debt section. It supports retrieving loan details, borrower and lender data, and intercompany loan transactions, as well as creating new loans between existing entities.

Read API: Access
Read user access details, including user permissions, user groups, access groups and exclusion groups. This provides greater support for IT systems and compliance management and, furthermore, enables teams to replicate Athennian user access setups in other systems.

Webhook API: Tasks
Get real-time task updates in Slack, Teams or project management systems to keep legal, compliance and operations teams in sync. Receive alerts for changes to task statuses, due dates, assignees and more to keep governance ops moving and on track for every compliance, filing or reporting deadline.

Other Updates
Entity Type in Charts Entity Information
You can now display the Entity Type field within the nodes of your Structure Charts by selecting it from the Entity Information list.

Active and Inactive Ownership Settings on Entity Overview
We've made it easier to view ownership information on the Entity Overview page! A new display control, accessible from the “Edit Display” settings, lets you quickly switch between seeing active, inactive, or all ownership holdings.
This update helps you customize the ownership data you see, making your workflow smoother. Legal, tax, and finance professionals can focus on current active ownership, while compliance or data teams can view all historical and pending records. This clearer view means less confusion and a better user experience.
