Copy and paste an existing entity record

If you want to re-use data or configurations inside of an entity record for another entity record, you can duplicate an existing entity record. This will duplicate the entity name, jurisdiction and share class settings.

For more information regarding this, please have a look at Entity Templates for more detailed view and instructions.

  1. To duplicate an entity, find the entity record to be used as the template and change the status of that entity to Template
  2. Once the status of the entity you wish to duplicate has been changed to Template,  proceed back to the Entities page
  3. Click on the New button and select Entity from template
  4. In the Create Entity from Template modal, click the Entity Template you wish to use and click Select
  5. Select the Access Group(s) you wish to add that new entity to in the Link with Access Groups* dropdown
  6. Type the New Entity Name required and you have the option to Copy Minute Book Structure and Copy Folders and Documents from that entity as well, by checking off the checkboxes
  7. After the changes and selections have been made, click Create and you will now have a duplicated entity.
  8. Last step, don't forget to change the entity status back to its original status!
