Correcting Transactions and Related Certificates

Learn how to correct transactions and related certificates using Administrative Edit!

To learn how to correct transactions and related certificates in Athennian, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the profile of the entity for which you would like to correct a certificate number;

  2. Navigate to the Securities > Shares > Transactions tab;

  3. Select the transaction record you would like to update;

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the transaction window and check off Administrative Edit - checking this off will allow you to make the necessary modifications to the transaction. You can update the shares issued, price per share, transaction date, etc. by clicking into the various fields and making the changes;

  5. Once you're done making the modifications, select Update;

  6. Navigate to the Certificates tab, you will notice a yellow dot at the far left of the certificate record - this means that the certificate will need to be corrected;

  7. Select the certificate record - you will notice that the Administrative Edit button is checked off - this means that you will be able to make the necessary modifications to reflect the changes made in the transaction record;

  8. Make the necessary modifications, and then select Update;

  9. Next, select the three dots at the far right of the certificate record and select Repair from the dropdown menu, this will correct the certificate;

  10. Finally, you will want to click on the red exclamation point located at the top right of your screen next to the Registers / Ledgers button, and then select Validate at the bottom right of the window that pops up.
