With Athennian, Share Certificate Consolidations are easier than ever!

Learn how to quickly consolidate multiple Share Certificates to save time and effort. Follow the steps below to complete the process.

Steps for Share Certificate Consolidation

  1. From an Entity record, go to the Securities tab and select Ownership available on the left

  2. At the top center of the screen, click on the Transactions tab. Check the boxes next to the certificates you want to consolidate. The Action button will now be available with a dropdown (# Selected). Click it and choose Consolidate

  3. A new modal will appear. Complete the following fields: Details, Certificate Selection, & Certificate Issuance

    Details

    • Select Type (Choose from the following options: Lost & Replaced, Certificate Improperly Signed, Certificate Consolidation, Identified as Certificate Shares, Issued in Error, Replacement Certificate, or Balance Remaining)
    • Transaction Date
    • Resolution Date
    • Other Consideration
    • Use on Register
    • Use on Register From
    • Use on Register To

    Certificate Selection

      • From (Select Holding): Choose the holding
      • Holding (Holding Name): Select the holding name

      • Shares (Select shares to transfer from)

      • Add to Existing Certificate (Checkbox)

    Certificate Issuance

    • Sort Order
    • Ledger
    • Certificate Code
    • Uncertificated Shares (Checkbox)
    • Lien/Encumbrance (Checkbox)

  4. Once all fields are filled in, click Preview at the bottom right corner of the modal. This will provide a summary of the certificates being consolidated along with all the details. Review the information and click Close

  5. After reviewing the details, click Create to complete the consolidation

Viewing the Consolidation

Once the consolidation is complete, you will see the transaction reflected in the Transactions tab. Additionally, changes will appear on the Certificates tab

Filtering Certificates

On the Certificates page, you can filter your certificates. Use the Status field in the middle-right section of the screen to mask cancelled certificates.
