Overview
Chart views capture point-in-time snapshots of entity ownership structures. The review updates functionality surfaces backend changes—such as new entity additions or corporate name updates—that occurred after a view was created, allowing teams to audit and selectively apply changes. View restriction settings allow administrators to limit access to specific teams for confidential or in-progress planning.

Review and Apply Entity Updates
Navigate to the Charts section on the left-hand side of the screen and open a saved chart view
Click Review Updates on the left menu panel to view the list of backend entity modifications made since saving the snapshot
Inspect the listed updates in the Update For this View pop-up, such as newly added entities, revised parent holdings, or corporate name changes
Select specific changes to introduce updated objects and relationship lines directly onto the chart canvas by clicking Apply
Adjust canvas elements by right-clicking relationship lines or entity shapes to hide unnecessary classes or outdated connection lines
Click Save Chart View (it's just a blue Save button at the top that you click) to preserve the updated structure snapshot
Restrict Chart View Permissions
Open the target saved chart view in the Charts section
Access the view sharing settings panel located on the top left
Select the specific team designated to view or edit the confidential structure from the dropdown
Toggle access permissions to restrict visibility from general entity users
Save changes to enforce team-level access controls until the structure is ready for broader distribution
Additional Important Notes / Tips
Note:
Applying updates introduces new records and relationship lines to the canvas without automatically removing existing manually configured shapes
All chart view modifications and applied entity updates log automatically within the system audit trail
Restricting a chart view limits visibility of the specific snapshot layout while preserving baseline entity-level permissions for assigned users
