Configure custom fields on registrations to track specialized data references, tax identifiers, and project details across corporate records.
Adding custom fields to registration types provides complete control over organization-specific data requirements. Custom fields assigned to registration subsections can be flagged as reportable or filterable, enabling seamless data extraction in custom reports and entity table views.
Overview
Custom field configuration for registrations allows teams to capture unique data points, such as tax identification numbers or external tracking IDs, directly within registration records. Admin permissions, reportability, and table filtering can be customized at the individual field level.
Availability: Customers with Enterprise
Create Custom Fields for Registrations
Navigate to the settings icon and select Custom Fields on the left-hand side of the screen
Click Create New Field by hovering over the +New button in the top right-hand corner
Enter the field name into the Field Name field, such as Tax GIIN
Check Reportable to enable custom report extraction
Select Number from the field type options
Select General under the Field Locations section
Select Registrations from the Sections dropdown menu
Select the target subsection, such as Details, Date, Affiliation, or Unique Document
Deselect default registration types and click Other
Select the target custom registration type from the dropdown menu, such as Tax Registration
Set editing access under Field Permission to restrict editing to admins or leave open for all users
Click Save to create the custom field
View and Filter Custom Registration Fields
Navigate to Entities and select the target entity record
Select Registrations from the side menu
Click the specific registration record, such as Ontario Registration
Scroll to the Details section to view custom fields, such as AEOI Reporting ID and Tax GIIN
Check Filterable at the custom field settings level to surface the field across entity table filters
Additional Important Notes / Tips
Note:
Selecting the Reportable tag on a custom field allows the data to be pulled into custom system reports
Selecting the Filterable tag enables search and filter capabilities across entity tables
Field permissions can be restricted so only system administrators can edit specific registration data
