Enhance your efficiency and streamline your workflows by using the Bulk Edit feature to quickly update multiple Person Associations at once.
Overview
The Bulk Edit feature allows users to simultaneously change the status, effective date, end date, principal or affiliation role, and custom title for multiple selected Person Associations on a Person record.
Availability: All customers.
Important: Bulk editing, like editing an individual Association record, will replace the existing Association details and will not retain previous entries for historical reference. Proceed carefully.
Access the Person's Profile and Associations
- Navigate to the People section and select the record of the person you would like to edit from multiple entities
- Click on the Associations tab
Filter and Select Associations
- Click on the Filter button to filter by the Status or the Role
- In the Status dropdown, select to view either Active or Inactive associations
- In the Roles dropdown, select the roles you wish to edit and click Apply
- Note: All roles can be bulk edited (except Beneficial Owners, as they're maintained in Securities as Holdings)
- Click on Apply
- Click on the top checkbox to select all associations, or click the checkboxes of the individual associations to be edited
- Click on the [X] Selected dropdown at the top
Perform the Bulk Edit
- Select Bulk Edit from the dropdown
- In the Bulk Edit modal, make any applicable edits as needed:
- Select the new Status (Confirmed, Pending or Inactive) from the available dropdown
- Select the new Effective Date and an optional End Date
- Select the new Principal Role or Affiliation Role from the available dropdown
- Apply any Custom Title from the dropdown
- Click the Manage [Role] Custom Title button to add a new custom title option
- Click Apply to execute the bulk edit
- The selected associations will disappear from the list after the update if you have applied filters that no longer apply. Click the Filter dropdown and click Clear All Filters to view the newly edited associations, which will now reflect any edits made (new Status, Dates, Role).
- Follow the steps outlined in the Change of Principals Task article to generate any relevant supporting documents for the edits in each entity
