Learn how easily Athennian stores aliases for individuals!
Overview
The aliases tool allows you to save alternative names for a person's record, which can be used when adding a person to a company. The alias will link back to their main person profile and be used in all document automation. This allows you to have one person who can be called different names for different contexts.
Important: When creating a person profile, the first alias is automatically generated using the person's name. This default alias cannot be deleted or edited.
Add an Alias
To create additional aliases, follow the simple steps below:
Navigate to the People section on the left-hand side of the page
Select a person record
In the Contact tab under Details, scroll down to the Aliases field
Click on the + button, and the Add Alias modal will pop up
Fill in the mandatory First Name and Last Name fields, with an optional Middle Name field
Once satisfied, click on the blue Add button to save the new alias
Once aliases are created, select which alias to use as the Execution Name when adding a person as a Principal or Affiliation into an entity record.
Delete an Alias
Click on the bin icon on the right side of the alias to delete it (note that the first default alias cannot be deleted)
