Combine duplicate People records into a single profile, with only a few clicks.
Overview
The Combine feature in the People section allows users to merge two duplicate profiles into one. This feature helps maintain data accuracy and avoid confusion in the database. When two profiles are combined, a "retiring" profile is merged into a "surviving" profile, consolidating all associated information such as roles, addresses, and documents.
Availability: All customers.
Important: Only two People records can be combined at a time.
Combine Duplicate People Records

Navigate to the People section in the main navigation menu

Use the Search bar to find the person with duplicate records

Select the checkboxes next to the two duplicate records to combine

Click the Actions dropdown menu

Click Combine

A pop-up window will appear to review the Retiring Profile and the Surviving Profile

Review the information carefully to ensure the correct profile is being retired and all necessary attributes will be inherited by the surviving profile:
- Interests: Principal affiliations and securities
- Addresses: Unique addresses will be combined
- Responsibilities: Compliance responsibilities

Click Combine to merge the two records
- A green notification will appear at the bottom left of the screen confirming that the People records were combined successfully
