Add an Association to a People Profile

Enhance your People management and efficiently track relationships by adding associations to a People profile.

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to add an association (such as a Principal, Agent, Responsible Party, or Contact) to a People profile, link it to one or more entities, and define their role.

Availability: All customers.


Locate the People Profile

  • Head to the People section on the left-hand side of the screen

  • Search for the person's name in the Search bar provided

  • Select the person to open their Profile


Add a New Association

  • Navigate to the Associations tab

  • Click the + New blue button on the top right-hand corner of the screen

  • Select the type of association to add (PrincipalAgentResponsibleContactOther Professional or Shared Address)


Link Entities to the Association

  • In the modal that opens, click + Add Entity

  • In the Select Entity modal, select the entity from the list, or use the Search bar provided to search the entity name

  • To add more than one Entity, click + Add Entity again and select the next Entity

    • Note: The role(s) selected below under Roles will be applied to All the Entities selected


Add an Address (Optional)

  • To add an address, click + Add Address

  • In the Select Address modal, select the address from the display and click Apply (or click + New to create a new one if needed)


Define the Role and Create the Association

  • Click on + Add Role

  • In the Add Role modal, select the Role (e.g., Director) and Title from the dropdown menus

  • Optionally, select an existing Custom Title 

    • Or add a new custom title option by clicking on the Manage [Role] Custom Title button, then in the Edit modal, click on + Add option, enter the title and click Save

  • Optionally, add an Effective DateEnd Date and any Notes for the role

  • Click Create to confirm and add the role

  • To add a different role, click on + Add Role again and select the next role (e.g., Manager)

    • Note: The selected role(s) will be applied to All the Entities selected above under Entity

  • Click Create to confirm and add the Association

The Association(s) created will be displayed successfully on the Associations tab, showing the Entity Name, Role, Address, Effective Date, End Date, and Details (Role Notes), if applicable.
