The template settings configured through Template Manager will control where certain templates will be visible in specific part of Athennian. Whether a template is linked to a specific Task Workflow, or a share register or ledger generated through the Securities section, the correct settings configuration will ensure only the relevant documents appear for selection in the document generation screen.

  1. Template/Subtemplate Toggle
This button sets the document as a template or subtemplate.

  2. Template Name
Edit the template’s name here. Avoid using special characters or exceeding 100 characters in this field.

  3. Jurisdiction (multi-select)*
This section allows Athennian to filter visibility of the template based on an entity's home jurisdiction or its jurisdiction of foreign registration. You may select multiple jurisdictions, as well as filter by country only.

  4. Template Kind*
This controls the visibility of the template depending on the kind of template.

The settings for Report, Register & Ledger, and Certificate are particularly important because if these types of documents are not configured as such, you will not be able to find these templates in the correct document generation screens.

  5. Workflows (multi-select)*
This controls the visibility of the template depending on the Workflow. Multiple Workflows may be selected,

For Register & Ledger type documents, the corresponding Workflow must be selected, such as Share Transactions, or Principals (referring to Directors, Officers, Managers or others in the Principals tab in Athennian). For Certificate type documents, Share Transactions must be selected as the Workflow.

  6. Entity Types*
This controls the visibility of the template depending on the Entity Type.

  7. Language*
You can set the language of the document here. If no changes are made, the template language is defaulted to English (Canada).

  8. Selected Data*
These checkboxes will limit the collections that are available when documents are generated. This is especially useful for entities with large volumes of data.
Be very careful when using these - if the collection variables that are coded into the document are excluded, the document will not generate correctly.

  9. Tags*
You can set up tags for ease of searching as well as provide metadata for users. After typing the tag, be sure to press Enter for the tag to be saved.

  10. Prompt
You can set up Custom Prompts here. See this article on Custom Prompts for more information on Custom Prompts.

  11. Subtemplate
You can set up Subtemplates here. See this article on Subtemplates for more information on Subtemplates.

  12. Save
Once all the settings are configured, click this button to save. The Date Modified field tracks the last time the settings were saved.

*Quick Configure

In the Quick Configure screen before the document is uploaded, only settings 3-9 are configurable. Other settings must be configured after the document has been successfully uploaded.

Editing Settings

There are two ways to edit settings:

  1. Hovering over the title of the document will bring up 4 buttons on the right. The first is the edit button.

  2. Using the checkbox to select the template(s) for which you want to edit the settings, use the Edit Selected button to access its settings.
